Below is a series of exercises in preparation for short work. More on this in the Short Work Seminar notes coming up after January 19, 2013.

Ex 1: Go down from a sitting position on exhale, go back up on inhale. After several minutes of work, continue going down from a kneeling position and after a while – from a full standing position.

 

Pushing exercises-prep for striking

Ex 1: #1 pushes #2 who must move his body / muscles or squat down to absorb or escape while remaining on the spot.
